Handmade Moth Insect Dangle Earrings in Copper & Sterling Silver
These moth earrings make the perfect gift for the bug lover in your life. They also make great gifts for science teachers, gardeners, entomologists or entomology students -- anyone who can appreciate the magic of insects!
After preparing the art for this design, I used an acid bath to etch the artwork deep into my copper cutouts. The copper cutouts and other earring components were then all prepped and soldered together. The fully assembled earrings were polished, then hand patinated, then polished again to reveal that gorgeous, bright copper glow.
These are made-to-order, so please allow up to 1 week for completion.
Moth faces are amazing! Covered in downy hairs with feather-like antennae, they have these extraordinarily long proboscises (drinking-straw-like tongue) that they keep neatly curled up, tucked into their chins. Well, if moths had chins, that's where their proboscises would be, anyway...
All of my jewelry items are shipped in certified eco-friendly and fully recyclable jewelry boxes. And $1 from every sale is donated to protect invertebrates & their habitats.
